Sound Energy sees as much as 31 TCF of gas at Morocco project; Acquisition of Intel spin-off will boost Telit's Wi-Fi capability; while Fox Marble advances to Mayfair

Sound Energy PLC (LON:SOU) has lifted the lid on how much gas it believes it has in Morocco, with the exploration potential measuring some 17 trillion cubic feet of gas across the Tendrara and Meridja permit areas.

That very substantial figure is an in-house number, and it is termed as the ‘mid case’ unrisked original gross gas in place estimate. It is not the amount of gas that Sound believes can be recovered.

The in-place gas estimates are in a range from 9 trillion cubic feet to an ‘upside case’ estimate of some 31 trillion cubic feet.

Industrial ‘Internet of Things’ (IoT) leader Telit Communications Plc (LON:TCM) has acquired ultra-low-power Wi-Fi specialist GainSpan for US$8mln in cash.

GainSpan designs, develops, manufactures and commercialises ultra-low power Wi-Fi systems-on-chip and modules for battery and line-powered devices. It also owns the intellectual property in network stacks, system and application software it has developed.

It was a case of ‘Advance to Mayfair’ for Fox Marble Holdings PLC (LON:FOX) as it announced a potential order from London’s poshest district.

The east European marble quarries operator said the developers of Audley Square in Mayfair have specified Fox Marble's Illyric White and Selene Grigio marble for all of the interior common areas of the residences.

Fresh from a successful 2016, mining royalties company Anglo Pacific Group PLC (LON:APF) has inked a £26.4mln streaming agreement that will give it exposure to the highest grade uranium operation in the world.

The deal with Denison Mines Inc. (TSE:DML) means Anglo will now receive Denison’s 22.5% share of the proceeds from the McClean Lake mill in Canada, which is operated by AREVA Resources Canada.

Metal Tiger PLC (LON:MTR) and its joint venture (JV) partner MOD Resources (ASX:MOD) have told investors that a pre-feasibility study at the T3 copper/ silver deposit in Botswana is underway.

The PFS is expected to be completed by the middle of this year, the two parties added.

Elsewhere, Cello Group plc (LON:CLL) is to raise £15mln through a placing as it strengthens its US healthcare product marketing and consultancy business.

A chunk of the money will go to pay for new US acquisition, Defined Health, another adviser to big pharma companies.

Office productivity software seller BOS GLOBAL HOLDINGS Ltd (LON:BOS) has appointed Cornerstone Group, which is well connected in government circles, as a sales partner.

Cornerstone is one of Australia's leading providers of government relations services, and it will aid BOS's sales drive across government departments.

Over in Turkey, Ariana Resources plc (LON:AAU) has received a forestry permit for Kizilcukur, one of its wholly-owned projects in Turkey and a likely high grade satellite deposit for the soon to open Kiziltepe mine.

The junior believes there is potential for 18 months of add-on mine life for Kiziltepe from three shallow open-pits at Kizilcukur.

Kizilcukur is 22km to the northeast of the Kiziltepe mine site, with a resource of 308,000 tonnes at 2.11g/t gold and 73.4g/t silver.

The board of metals explorer Mariana Resources Ltd. (LON:MARL) has awarded bonuses to two of its senior management in recognition of their hard work.

Chief executive Glen Parsons and chief operating officer Eric Roth will both receive a share bonus and up to 2.4mln share options.

In other news, Strategic Minerals PLC (LON:SML) has extended its rights to the Cobre tailing stockpile in New Mexico for another year.

The contract is currently subject to an annual extension and Strategic Minerals has received confirmation from Cobre's owner that the contract will be renewed until 28 February 2018.

Seeing Machines Limited (LON:SEE) has strengthened its ties with machinery and engineering giant Caterpillar Inc. (NYSE:CAT) with its latest board appointment.

Tim Crane – general manager at Cat Services’ marketing and digital division – will join Seeing Machines’ board as a non-executive director with immediate effect.

And finally, MySQUAR Ltd (LON:MYSQ), in a brief stock market statement, informed investors that just over 20mln new shares have been issued to Sandabel Capital.

The shares were issued as a result of a conversion of some US$350,000 of loan notes, part of the US$2mln loan notes issued to Sandabel as part of capital raise announced in December.
