Caribbean Investment Holdings Ltd (LON:CIHL), up 69% to 16p. Management confirmed in a statement this afternoon that it has no idea why the share price has soared, but it has.
Paragon Entertainment Ltd (LON:PEL), up 28% to 2.5p. The attractions designer and builder told investors that it expects full year revenues to be 20% higher than previous forecasts.
Gulf Marine Services PLC (LON:GMS), up 9% to 49.3p. 78% of its self-elevating support vessels were in service in the first three quarters of the year, while further interest in the Middle and in Europe will likely push the figure up higher.
FALLERS
Bilby PLC (LON:BILB), down 16% to 67.5p. The gas and electricity holding company issued a profit warning after one of its long-standing, major customers took some work away from the group which would hit revenues by around 10%.
Sportech plc (LON:SPO), down 9% to 62p. The proposed £97.25mln sale of its Football Pools to Burlywood Capital will now not go ahead the firm said this morning.
W Resources PLC (LON:WRES), down 8% to 0.52p. Will raise £1mln via a share placing in order to fund expansion at its La Parrilla tungsten mine in Spain.

RISERS
Northern Petroleum Plc (LON:NOP), up 30% to 3.95p. Investors were buoyed after it released an update on the certified reserves for its Canadian assets, which showed proven and probable reserves had increased by nearly a third in less than two years.
Franchise Brands PLC (LON:FRAN), up 12% to 59p. Announced on Tuesday that it had completed the acquisition of Barking Mad for £900,000.
First Derivatives PLC (LON:FDP), up 6% to 2,090p. Published a decent half year report, with revenue, profit before tax and earnings share all seeing sizeable increases.
FALLERS
Standard Chartered PLC (LON:STAN), down 6% to 670p. The Asia-focused bank posted a US$458mln pre-tax profit that fell short of analyst expectations.
Egdon Resources PLC (LON:EDR), down 7% to 14.5p. The company has raised £3mln by issuing 22.2mln shares at 13.5p, a discount on this morning’s open. It will also look to raise a further £2mln through an open offer of 15.2mln shares at the same price.

Moneysupermarket.com Group PLC (LON:MONY), up 7% to 280.5p. Growth in sales of insurance helped third quarter revenue to rise to £84.9mln and the firm said it was confident of hitting full year targets.
Edenville Energy PLC (LON:EDL), up 7% to 0.63p. An independent technical assessment has confirmed that the company’s Rukwa Coal to Power project in Tanzania has the potential to expand its ultimate size to 300MW from 120MW.
FALLERS
URU Metals Ltd (LON:URU), down 9% to 0.75p. Share price run of the last few weeks seems to have come to an end despite a relatively upbeat update for its Zebediela nickel project in South Africa.
Advanced Oncotherapy PLC (LON:AVO), down 8% to 100.5p. Appointed the head of its proton beam cancer treatment subsidiary, Stephen Myers, to its board, but also revealed that its recent open offer to raise £4mln had only been 84% taken up by shareholders.
