Risers and fallers: Seeing Machines, Newmark Security, Ferrum Crescent...

Seeing Machines shares rocketed after the company announced its new FOVIO chip is being adapted for use in semi-autonomous vehicles

RISERS

Ferrum Crescent Limited (LON:FCR), up 40% to 0.3p. Sealed the acquisition of two exciting lead-zinc projects in Spain on Thursday afternoon.

Seeing Machines Limited (LON:SEE), up 31% to 4.74p. Told investors it has moved into the car industry with the development of a new chip that can monitor how alert the driver is.

The Mission Marketing Group PLC (LON:TMMG), up 15% to 41.9p. Posted a solid set of half year results, with revenue and profit before tax both up. Added that it was confident in the outlook for the rest of the year and expects to have a “strong second half bias”.

FALLERS

Newmark Security PLC (LON:NWT), down 30% to 1.5p. Said on Thursday afternoon that it now expects to report a loss this year due to ongoing delays and operational issues.

Xtract Resources PLC (LON:XTR), down 30%. The explorer will relinquish its option and mining rights at the Chepica gold mine in Chile, which was the linchpin of the company’s original strategy to generate cashflow quickly.

Stellar Resources PLC (LON:STG), down 6% to 0.16p. The company has invested A$300,000 in Fresho Pty Ltd, an unlisted Australian B2B company servicing the restaurant and food service industries.

RISERS

Billing Services Group Limited (LON:BILL), up 26% to 4.26p. Warned on profits but shares soared after it generated extra revenue and cash flow through more profitable services. LINK

Aura Energy Limited (LON:AURA), up 14% to 2p. “Exceptionally strong” drill results from Algold Resources, its gold mining neighbour in Mauritania, have boosted confidence in Aura’s licences.

SolGold plc (LON:SOLG), up 12% to 14.75p. Maxit Capital has offerd to arrange a cash investment into the company at US$0.16 per share, a 100% premium to an offer already on the table.

FALLERS

Abzena plc (LON:ABZA), down 7% to 41.9p. Gilead Sciences has ended the phase II/III clinical trial of GS-5745 in patients with ulcerative colitis after initial data contained insufficient evidence of treatment benefit.

ITM Power plc (LON:ITM), down 7% to 20p. Announced this morning that it had completed the upgrade of its hydrogen refuelling station on the M1 near Rotherham.

Cambridge Cognition Holds PLC (LON:COG), down 6% to 72p. Share price has been on the rise in recent months. Reported in today’s interims that it still made a loss before tax in the first half of the year despite generating higher revenues.

RISERS

Management Consulting Group PLC (LONMMC), up 39% to 23.6p. Announced disposal of Kurt Salmon business to Accenture for around £127mln. Also reported lower revenues and increased loss, but slashed its net debt to £1.9mln from £41.7mln.

Skil Ports and Logistics Ltd (LON:SPL), up 27% to 12.35p. The company is developing a port and logistics facility in Mumbai and said many of the risks are now behind it. Also swung to a small profit before tax in the first half.

FALLERS

Armadale Capital PLC (LON:ACP), down 16% to 2p. Narrowed its loss before tax in the first six months of the year and said it was looking at alternative potential commercial arrangements at the Mpokoto gold mine in the DRC.

Hansard Global PLC (LON:HSD), down 12% to 123.75p. Despite new business sales almost doubling in the year to the end of June, profit after tax fell significantly to £8.3mln from £14.9mln.
