Risers & Fallers: Carr's Group, Distil, Equatorial Palm, Mears, Plus 500, Proxama

Dr Sam Malafeh, the new deputy chief executive officer of AEC Education, has subscribed for £200,000 of shares at 5p each.

Below are some of the main news-driven share price changes at 3.45pm.

RISERS

Proxama PLC (LON:PROX), up 48%. Shares have risen from 0.52p on Thursday’s close to 0.837p today, following Friday’s news of certification as a Google location services provider.

Carr’s Group PLC (LON:CARR), up 11%. Shareholders can look forward to a return of capital after Carr’s Flour Mills Ltd was sold for a net consideration of £24.9mln.

Equatorial Palm Oil PLC (LON:PAL), up 10%. Liberian Palm Developments Limited (LPD), Equatorial’s 50%-owned joint venture company, is to borrow up to US$30mln from KLK Agro Plantations.

FALLERS

Plus500 Limited (LON:PLUS), down 4.4%. Read Plus500 Ltd boosts profits but costs weigh

Mears Group PLC (LON:MER), down 3.6%. Artemis Investment Management has lowered is stake below 5% to 4.92%.

Distil PLC (LON:DIS), down 3.5%. The spirits maker has issued 500,000 shares after options were exercised by an employee.

RISERS

AEC Education (LON:AEC), up 102%. Dr Sam Malafeh, the new deputy chief executive officer, has subscribed for £200,000 of shares at 5p each.

CloudTag PLC (LON:CTAG), up 32%. The shares remain in focus after the announcement last week that the board is currently optimistic that the sales targets agreed with Second Chance will be achieved.

Comptoir Group PLC (LON:COM), up 12%. The Lebanese operator is to open six new Comptoir Libanais sites over the next three months, including three new regional locations and its first inside a department store.

FALLERS

Roxi Petroleum PLC (LON:RXP), down 4.7%. After Friday’s reserves update, which boosted the shares, Raditie NV has offloaded its 6.36% stake. Bolatzhan Kerimbayev picked up some of those shares to give him a 4.18% stake.

Tern PLC (LON:TERN), down 4.1%. The investment company said 198,151 shares had been allotted after warrants were exercised at 2p a share.

Frontera Resources Corporation (LON:FRR), up 32%. Frack completions on Zone 9 of its Republic of Georgia assets have yielded “breakthrough stimulation results”.

FinnAust Mining PLC (LON:FAM), up 13%. The mining company has significantly increased its land position in Greenland via the proposed acquisition of Avannaa Exploration.

Koovs PLC (LON:KOOV), up 12%. The Indian online fashion firm’s trading update laid to rest some fears about top-line growth, as sales more than doubled year-on-year in the four months to the end of July.

FALLERS

Tethys Petroleum Ltd (LON:TPL, TSX:TPL), down 33%. The company's long-time backer, Olisol, has failed to stump up the funds relating to the proposed share placing.

Pantheon Resources PLC (LON:PANR), down 19%. The East Texas-focused energy firm has run into trouble on its VOBM#2 well.
