Risers & Fallers: Cluff, Glenwick, Go-Ahead, Ibstock, Roxi, Scotgold

Investors got on board the Go-Ahead bus this morning after a strong set of results

Below are some of the main news-driven share price changes at 12.15pm.

RISERS

Glenwick PLC (LON:GWIK), up 9.5%. The company said its shares would be suspended as from Monday of next week, not Tuesday as originally noted in an announcement earlier this week. The cash shell’s shares have been suspended because it has not been able to find something suitable in which to invest within the required timeframe to maintain its stock exchange listing.

Go-Ahead Group PLC (LON:GOG), up 8.0%. Liberum Capital Markets regarded it as a bit of a so-so announcement that would be unlikely to shift consensus earnings forecasts much, but others have taken a more optimistic view.

Roxi Petroleum PLC (LON:RXP), up 7.5%. The Central Asian oil and gas company with a focus on Kazakhstan issued a reserves update for the South Yelemes Fields’ post-sale reservoirs. “We believe the results strongly indicate the current value of the company is largely covered by just the reserves from the shallow wells drilled at South Yelemes,” said executive chairman Clive Carver.

FALLERS

Scotgold Resources Ltd (LON:SGZ, ASX:SGZ), down 13%. The gold miner focused on Scotland said 36.67mln new shares have been issued as a result of the conversion of convertible notes, lifting the total number of shares in issue to 1,537mln.

Ibstock PLC (LON:IBST), down 9.9%. Some 40.5mln shares have been placed at 175p each. Shares closed last night at 186.2p.

Cluff Natural Resources PLC (LON:CLNR), down 9.7%. Non-executive director Chris Matchette-Downes has stepped down from the board with immediate effect.

Below are some of the main news-driven share price changes at 9.30am.

Trading Emissions PLC (LON:TRE), up 20%. The company announced the sale of a portion of its Italian solar portfolio.

Proxama PLC (LON:PROX), up 19%. Read Proxama receives Google certification

FALLERS

Eckoh PLC (LON:ECK), down 28%. Read Eckoh suffers growing pains

McCarthy & Stone PLC (LON:MCS), down 12%. The full-year trading update from the retirement homes builder revealed it has had to offer price cuts to hit its volume targets.

Thalassa Holdings Limited (LON:THAL), down 8.8%. The investment company is to pay £400,000 for 30mln Papua Mining PLC shares. The penny a share paid is a substantial discount to last night’s mid-market closing price of 1.875p for Papua.
