Rex Bionics PLC (LON:RXB) signed a deal with the US Army to use its robotic exoskeleton to rehabilitate soldiers that have lost lower limbs.
The Rex equipment, as well as helping the disabled walk upright, is being developed to aid physiotherapy for people with spinal cord and traumatic brain injury.
In other news, tungsten, gold and copper junior W Resources PLC (LON:WRES) has raised £750,000 through a placing.
It is developing the La Parrilla project in Spain, where tungsten production at a "fast-track mine" is scheduled for late 2016 at an estimated cost of US$16mln.
Elsewhere, Petroceltic International Plc’s (LON:PCI) debt conundrum appears closer to unravelling, as its activist shareholder Worldview Capital has now acquired the majority of the company’s debt.
Sunny Hill, a subsidiary of Worldview, revealed in a statement yesterday evening that it had acquired around 70% of the group’s outstanding indebtedness.
Over at the Nevada-focused explorer US Oil & Gas (USOP), it unveiled plans to raise as much as £3.8mln of new capital. Depending upon how much it can raise, the money would fund drilling of new to establish resources at the Hot Creek Valley lease area, where it previously drilled the Eblana-1 exploration well back in 2012/13.
Big plans for Tlou Energy Limited (LON:TLOU) as it continued negotiations with potential off-take partners for its Lesedi coal bed methane project in Botswana.
The plan is to exploit upwards of 3,000bn cubic feet of contingent gas resources contained in coal beds. If successful, the firm will be the first to book reserves in the country.
FairFx Group PLC (LON:FXX), the online multi-currency payments and travel money specialist, said activist investment fund Crystal Amber is set to pump £5mln into the group after the FCA approved the move.
It is part of a previously announced placing by FairFx of £5.25mln at 20p a share, with Crystal Amber making up the rump of the investment.
It will hold around 24% of the enlarged issued share capital of the group following the issue and the funds will be used to accelerate the group's marketing efforts.

Executive director Roderick Mahoney acquired 200,000 units at the same price, also due 2020.
And finally, Minds + Machines (LON:MMX) has joined forces with the owners of .club and .bar to promote jointly its own .beer and .vodka domains.
The ‘bundle’ of domain names will target US nightclubs and bars through an agreement with Name.com, North America's second largest registrar group.
