Proactive news summary: Metal Tiger, Ariana Resources, Solo Oil, DP Poland and more

A pivotal day for mining investor Metal Tiger, "rapid progress" for Ariana Resources and a new director at Oilex.

A pivotal day for mining investor Metal Tiger (LON:MTR) after the Botswana government issued the final piece of paperwork ahead of its staged, six month drilling campaign to assess the potential of a slice of the Kalahari copper belt.

Over in gold, Ariana Resources (LON:AAU) is making “rapid progress” with the construction of the Kiziltepe Mine in Turkey with local partner Proccea. It remains on course for first gold pour in the second half of the year.

Once up and running the mine will churn out 20,000 ounces of gold a year at around US$600 an ounce.

Meanwhile, European Metals Holdings (LON:EMH) has identified a series of shallower, higher grade deposits at its Cinovec lithium deposit in the Czech Republic.

EMH carried out a detailed geological model of the deposit and has put together a picture of where the higher grades may be located.

In other news, the exploration firm Oilex (LON:OEX) has recruited Brad Lingo as a new independent director.

Lingo has spent the last three decades in the oil and gas industry in a “diverse range of leadership roles”.

Over at Solo Oil (LON:SOLO), the energy firm has decided to further increase its stake in the soon-to-produce Kiliwani North project, onshore Tanzania.

It will purchase an additional 3.825% stake in the venture from Aminex, increasing its interest to 10%. In return, Solo is paying $2.16mln.

In the world of biotech, global regenerative medicine company Tissue Regenix (LON:TRX) has strengthened the management of its US operation with the appointment of Drew Distin to its new orthopaedic subsidiary.

Distin is a specialist in building sales through targeted marketing and has worked for a number of other US companies.

And we’ll top it off with Domino's Pizza franchise operator DP Poland (LON:DPP) as it notched up 13 consecutive quarters of double-digit percentage like-for-like sales growth.

LFL system sales in 2015 were up 16% on the year before, while the LFL order count was up 14%.
