Petroceltic (LON:PCI) up 56% to 18p. Major shareholder Worldview says is mulling cash takeover bid. Currently, Worldview owns 29.6%.
Tullow Oil (LON:TLW) up to 16% to 149.6p. Big gainer of FTSE250 as oil companies revive with the share price.
Royal Dutch Shell (LON:RDSB) up 6% to 1,387p. Like Tullow, shares rebound with better mood over oil prices as crude rises back above US$31.
FALLERS
Pearson (LON:PSON) down 4% at 744p. Former FT owner eases lower after strong gains yesterday on reassuring trading statement.
Ocado (LON:OCDO) down 5% at 267.3p. Falling back after talk earlier in the week that Amazon was mulling a bid.
MX Oil (LON:MXO) down 9% at 0.57p. Said yesterday it was completing a conditional placing at a targeted price range of between 0.5p and 1.0p per new ordinary share. Has received expressions of interest for Nigerian investment or to invest into the underlying asset.
