Argos Resources (LON:ARG) up 37% to 7.22p. Investors look forward to pivotal drilling in the coming months with farm-out partner Noble Energy. In its quarterly results yesterday, Noble revealed itself to be in a relatively healthy position.
Tullow Oil (LON:TLW), up 16% to 232p. Partner in Ghana, Kosmos, says TEN oil project expected to deliver first oil in third quarter of 2016. Vague bid rumours.
Royal Dutch Shell(LON:RDSB) up 2.5%. More cost savings to support the dividend, which won’t be cut says boss.
Fallers
Standard Chartered (LON:STAN) down 7% at 662p. Plunge into the red, raising £3.3bn and shedding 15,000 jobs.
Taylor Wimpey (LON:TW.), down 6% to 187pp. Weak construction numbers plus warning on margin from brokers.
Barratt Developments(LON:BDEV), down 4% to 585p, with Taylor Wimpey and housebuilder sector.

OptiBiotix Health (LON:OPTI), up 7% at 60.8p. Filed two new patents relating to its cholesterol-reducing products.
SolGold (LON:SOLG) up 7% at 2.03p. Reckons it may have found a second 1bn tonne target at Cascabel, its copper-gold porphyry project in Ecuador.
Meggitt (LON;MGGT) up 4% to 13.8p. Rally after hammering recently on profit warning. Best in FTSE 100.
Fallers
LGO Energy (LON:LGO) down 15% at 0.49p. Brought in two US finance groups to help ease the cash shortfall caused by problems with its last well in Trinidad.
World Careers Network (LON:WOR), down 11%. Trading has improved compared to the first half of the year, however, sales and profits remain below the levels achieved in 2013-14 at £7.9mln Profits were £1.20mln against £2.47mln.

URU Metals (LON:URU), up 36% to 0.78p. Uranium explorer recovers after £400,000 placing yesterday at 0.4p per share.
Lansdowne Oil & Gas (LON:LOGP), up 27% to 2.38p. Extension to licence that contains the Barryroe discovery in the Celtic Sea provides a lift.
Northbridge Industrial (LON:NBI), up 24% to 88p. Directors buy £525,000 worth of shares at 70p.
Biome Technologies (LON:BIOM), up 12% to 143p. Third quarter revenues rise 169% to £1.3mln and by18% for nine months. Small underlying profit for the first time.
Fallers
Highway Capital (LON:HWC) down 36% at 10.5p, Paul Fellerman continues to reduce stake. Now at 10%.
Getech (LON:GTC), down 14% at 37.5p. Warns over the current year due to oil price uncertainty. “We believe the year ahead will be trading substantially below current market expectations.”
Peer TV, (LON:PTV) down 9% to 0.02p. Disappointment with rejection of subsidiary Digitek’s proposed restructuring yesterday.
