Below are some of the main news-driven share price changes at 4pm.

RISERS

SDL (LON:SDL) up 11.2%. The company said its founder and chief executive will leave SDL at the end of the month having founded the firm in 1992.

Magnolia Petroleum (LON:MAGP) up 4.4%. The company is balancing its energy product and diversifying revenues with the participation in ten new gas wells in Oklahoma.

Legal & General (LON:LGEN) up 2.1%. The life insurer picked up a pension contract with electronics group Philips’ US employees.

Lloyds (LON:LLOY) up 1.2%. The banks made gains as the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) has suggested a deadline of 2018 for claims for compensation. Some £20bn has been paid out for PPI mis-selling to more than 10mln people so far.

FALLERS

Renewable Energy Holdings (LON:REH) down 12.8%. The company noted earlier this week that there is serious doubt as to whether its Welsh wind farm will be given planning permission, adding that even if it does, finding funding will be difficult with the down outlook for the renewable energy sector.

Microsaic Systems (LON:MSYS) down 6.7%. Shares continue to fall after interims showed pre-tax losses widened to £1.8mln from £1.5mln a year ago and it announced a share issue of 9.7mln shares at 33p to raise £3.2mln.

Below are some of the main news-driven share price changes among FTSE 350 stocks at 1.15pm.

RISERS

Paragon Group of Companies (LON:PAG), up 10.7% at 437.1p. The shares have extended early gains. The company has splashed out £117mln acquiring Five Arrows Leasing, an asset financing company, from merchant bank Rothschild.

Synergy Healthcare (LON:SYR), up 6.0% at 2,268p. The shares have had a bit of a delayed reaction to yesterday’s announcement of a special dividend worth 15.8p.

Greencore Group (LON:GNC), up 5.2% at 294p. The Irish convenience foods group has been given positive write-ups by Irish stockbrokers Goodbody and Davy.

Experian (LON:EXPN), down 4.6% at 1,026p. Experian, the credit checker, confirmed hackers stole some 15mln customers’ data last month.

DS Smith (LON:SMDS), down 3.0% at 11.6p. The packaging company’s shares have been downgraded to ‘hold’ from ‘buy’ by Jefferies International

Electrocomponents (LON:ECM), down 3.0% at 174.6p. The share has halved earlier losses that followed news that second quarter sales growth had slowed to 3% from 5% in the first quarter.

Below are some of the main news-driven share price changes at 9.00am.

RISERS

Universe Group (LON:UNG), up 10.7% at 10.375p. Investors raised a glass to the point-of-sale, payment and online loyal system operator, which has bagged booze seller Conviviality Retail (LON:CVR) as a customer.

Strat Aero (LON:AERO), up 6.9% at 7.75p. AERO’s shares bubbled higher on the back of a share purchase by chief executive, Tony Dunleavy. The pilot of the aerospace company swooped to purchase 200,000 shares at 5.75p a pop, taking his holding up to 330,000 shares.

Paragon Group of Companies (LON:PAG), up 5.1% at 414.9p. It seems a long time since the days of the credit crunch when the buy-to-let mortgage provider practically had to go into hibernation to survive.
