Light Science Technologies Holdings PLC (AIM:LST, FRA:9FD) CEO Simon Deacon spoke with Proactive's Stephen Gunnion about growing momentum in the company's passive fire protection (PFP) division following the acquisition of Injectaclad, including £800,000 of new business secured since the end of June 2026.
Deacon said the new orders, received across July and August, were split between material supplies to the company's installer network and projects handled by its own teams in Birmingham and Leicester — including work at a Birmingham school and Leicester residential flats, the latter requiring Building Safety Regulator approval for the Injectaclad product.
On current trading, Deacon said the PFP division is achieving a monthly revenue run rate of around £300,000 to £500,000, split between material sales and installation, and growing as the company gains traction and a clearer view of its quoted pipeline.
He also highlighted the scale of the opportunity: LSTH has a quoted pipeline of around £20 million, with the wider installer network offering further material sales potential. "There's £100 million of other quoted business out there, which we could gain £30 to £35 million in material sales alone," Deacon said. "We're really seeing that momentum build."
Looking ahead, Deacon said the focus is on delivering existing PFP projects, securing further orders, expanding the network and building a strong pipeline into 2027, with the division positioned to contribute to margins, cash generation and profitability as momentum builds.
