Pathos Communications Plc (LSE:NEWS) delivered record monthly revenue of more than $1.8 million in July, a performance the public relations technology group said was at odds with the recent slide of the stock.
Omar Hamdi, founder and chief executive, said: "We continue to be focused and disciplined in growing the business; we note the recent decline in share price and, based on company trading and prospects, know of no reason for it."
Growth in July was driven by an enlarged sales team, which Pathos said had lifted the rate of new client sign-ups by 30% since its implementation.
The company said the performance underpinned management's confidence in at least meeting market expectations for the current financial year.
Those expectations are revenue of $14 million and adjusted earnings before interest, tax, depreciation and amortisation of $4 million.
The update follows a half-year trading statement on 27 July, which reported higher revenue, profits and cash receipts for the six months to 30 June.
Pathos attributed that improvement to the deployment of proceeds from its stock market flotation.
Hamdi said the investments the company had made were beginning to deliver, and that it remained focused and disciplined in growing the business.
Interim results are due next month.
