Bluefield Solar takeover by Drax receives UK Govt greenlight

Drax Group (LSE:DRX) proposed cash acquisition of Bluefield Solar Income Fund Ltd (LSE:BSIF, FRA:5B3) has cleared its UK national security review, removing another condition ahead of the deal’s expected completion on Friday.

The Secretary of State determined that no further action would be taken under the National Security and Investment Act 2021, satisfying the relevant condition attached to the court-sanctioned scheme.

Bluefield shareholders approved the scheme and the associated special resolution at meetings held on 24 July.

Subject to the remaining conditions being met or waived and approval from the court, the acquisition is expected to become effective on 31 July 2026.
