Active Energy Group PLC AEG View profile

Active Energy Group highlights UAE opportunities

Active Energy Group PLC (AIM:AEG, OTCID:AEUSF), in a statement ahead of today's AGM, highlighted that its UAE infrastructure pipeline has expanded to include projects of up to 100 MVA, as it targets larger deployments supporting artificial intelligence and high-performance computing.

The company has identified a site offering an initial 5 MVA of immediately available grid capacity, with scope to increase this to around 10 MVA. The opportunity was introduced through the Private Office of Sheikh Mohammed bin Ahmed bin Hamdan bin Mohammed Al Nahyan and is being progressed for acquisition, subject to due diligence and completion.

AEG is also working with Bitdeer Technologies Group to evaluate substantially larger infrastructure opportunities in the 50–100 MVA range. Its previously announced 8 MVA opportunity remains part of those discussions.

Meanwhile, the proposed Khazna Grid Infrastructure Asset and Taweela Grid Connection continue through technical, commercial and contractual due diligence. Chief executive Paul Elliott said AEG was moving beyond individual projects towards “establishing a scalable infrastructure development pipeline”.
