Frontier IP Group PLC (LSE:FIPP, FRA:8WT) told investors that its 17.3% owned portfolio company Pulsiv has appointed Delta Matrix as exclusive manufacturing and wholesaling partner for products using its energy-efficient OSMIUM power conversion technology.
The deal represents Pulsiv’s first route to selling physical products based on the technology. Delta Matrix will manufacture USB output modules for applications including chargers and sockets installed in buildings, furniture, trains, aircraft and vehicles.
Easby Electronics, another company within Delta Matrix parent Easby Group, will market, sell and distribute the modules. Pulsiv retains the right to license the technology to other businesses and will also market the manufactured products directly.
Pulsiv said OSMIUM wastes less energy as heat, requires fewer components and can support smaller, more reliable designs. More than two billion wall sockets are sold worldwide each year, with USB-enabled products expected to account for about 600 million future annual installations.
