Rank Group PLC (LSE:RNK) said full-year underlying operating profit will reach at least £76 million, putting it more than 11% ahead of analyst consensus as digital growth accelerated in the final quarter.
Like-for-like net gaming revenue increased 6% to around £834.1 million in the year to 30 June 2026. Fourth-quarter revenue rose at the same rate to £208.9 million, led by 12% growth in digital and a 6% increase at its Spanish Enracha venues.
UK digital revenue jumped 12% in the quarter, compared with 2% growth in the preceding period, despite Remote Gaming Duty increasing to 40% from 1 April. Rank said it protected performance marketing and customer incentives while cutting broader marketing expenditure, supplier costs and headcount.
Grosvenor casino revenue rose 3% in the quarter despite disruption to international travel linked to the Middle East conflict. Gaming machine revenue grew 12% after Rank expanded the estate by 850 terminals, or 60%, during the first half.
Separately, Rank expects to book a £5 million provision for a proposed settlement with the Gambling Commission over historical compliance failings. The regulator has indicated it is minded to accept the proposal, with a finalisation letter awaited.
Rank shares were on the front foot in London, adding 3.9%, to change hands at 98.2p.
