Kingfisher Mining Ltd (ASX:KFM) has delivered some of the strongest copper-gold results recorded at its Copper Blow project near Broken Hill, extending high-grade mineralisation and strengthening the case for a maiden mineral resource estimate.
Reverse circulation drilling in the North Zone returned a standout intersection of 26 metres at 2.57% copper and 0.75 g/t gold from 73 metres, including 13 metres at 4.07% copper and 1.20 g/t gold. A higher-grade section within the interval assayed 4 metres at 7.06% copper and 2.38 g/t gold.
Another hole intersected 43 metres at 1.32% copper and 0.32 g/t gold from surface, including 17 metres at 2.46% copper and 0.60 g/t gold from 16 metres.
The program also returned 58 metres at 0.67% copper and 0.15 g/t gold from 165 metres, confirming the mineralised shear zone retains significant width at depth.

Mineralisation extended towards major fault
Drilling extended high-grade sulphide mineralisation by a further 50 metres towards a major cross fault interpreted as the boundary between Copper Blow’s North and South zones.
Kingfisher said the system remains open at depth and along strike, with the latest results increasing confidence in the potential to define a substantial copper inventory.
The near-surface and deeper intersections also support the vertical continuity of the mineralised system across the 600-metre strike length identified by earlier exploration.
Managing director Chris Bittar said: “These latest drilling results continue to demonstrate the scale and quality of the Copper Blow mineralised system.
“Importantly, it confirms broad zones of shallow, sulphide hosted high-grade copper mineralisation, while deeper drilling continues to show that the system remains open at depth.
“The results represent another significant step forward towards delivering a maiden Mineral Resource Estimate at Copper Blow.”
South Zone adds further high-grade potential
Drilling in the South Zone also returned encouraging results, including 3 metres at 1.99% copper and 0.45 g/t gold from 146 metres and 2 metres at 1.46% copper and 0.46 g/t gold from 140 metres.
These results complement historical intersections including 16 metres at 2.67% copper and 0.62 g/t gold and 4 metres at 6.13% copper and 4.23 g/t gold.
Kingfisher plans to continue testing the South Zone’s higher-grade lodes along strike and at depth.
Development pathway supported by nearby infrastructure
Copper Blow is about 20 kilometres southeast of Broken Hill and is held through a joint venture in which Kingfisher owns 75% and Broken Hill Mines Ltd (ASX:BHM) holds 25%.
The project is interpreted as an iron oxide copper-gold system hosted within the Copper Blow Shear Zone. Its North and South mineralised zones remain open, while a broader 4-kilometre magnetic anomaly is largely untested outside the main prospect.
A mining and processing agreement with Broken Hill Mines provides access to a concentrator about 20 kilometres from the project, offering a potential lower-capital pathway to future development.
What’s ahead
Kingfisher will incorporate the latest assays into its geological model and begin planning and approvals for the next major drilling campaign.
The upcoming program is expected to include diamond drilling designed to support a maiden mineral resource estimate, alongside further assessment of geophysical targets and metallurgical work.
Additional drilling of targets with similar magnetic and structural characteristics along strike from Copper Blow is planned for the remainder of 2026.
