Imaging Biometrics Ltd (LSE:IBAI, FRA:5Y1) told shareholders its commercial momentum is 'genuine and measurable' as it unveiled a substantially upgraded version of its clinical collaboration platform ahead of its annual meeting and said it was firmly on the road to profitability.
Reprising progress to date, the quantitative neuroimaging software and organ-on-a-chip group said it has launched IB Nimble 2, a new iteration of its secure mobile and web-based platform designed to support tumour board discussions, complex disease management, and emergent care settings.
The upgrade adds in-app DICOM viewing, allowing clinical teams to review medical images directly within the platform without switching between systems.
It also incorporates synchronisation with PACS, the picture archiving and communication system used to store and distribute medical imaging data, removing the need for local software installation.
The board expects the release to broaden the platform's addressable market to institutions that previously could not justify adoption without integrated imaging capability.
The IB Nimble 2 launch forms part of a wider strategic refocus on the neuroimaging software portfolio outlined in February 2026.
Separately, integration of QSMetric, a patented, FDA-cleared quantitative susceptibility mapping solution, into GE HealthCare's global distribution network is continuing following an expanded agreement struck in December 2025.
Kirkstall, the organ-on-a-chip business acquired in October 2025, delivered year-on-year revenue growth in 2025 and has added new distribution partners across the United States, China, and South Korea.
The company's Quasi-Vivo platform is being used in pharmaceutical research, toxicology, and disease modelling, with a funded collaboration with Nottingham Trent University developing a glioblastoma tumour-on-a-chip model.
Kirkstall is also positioned to benefit from the global regulatory shift away from animal testing, including under the US FDA Modernization Act 2.0.
CEO Trevor Brown concluded by telling shareholders: "Our expectation of progress towards profitability in 2026 is unchanged."
