IXICO PLC (LSE:IXI, OTC:PHYOF, FRA:PYPB), the neuroscience imaging and analytics group, has secured a contract win and a contract extension worth a combined £1.3 million over two years.
The London-based company will provide amyloid PET imaging analytics to validate a new blood-based biomarker test for Alzheimer's disease on behalf of a global diagnostics and life sciences company, with the work aimed at supporting FDA regulatory clearance.
Separately, IXICO has extended an existing phase II clinical trial contract in Huntington's disease with a leading global pharmaceutical company, adding three new analysis approaches to the programme.
Chief executive Bram Goorden said: "These latest contract wins are first and foremost important for progress in research and patient care.
"They also fit squarely in the growth strategy for our company, hitting three key components of the plan: deepening impact in broader CNS areas such as AD while maintaining leadership in rare neurodegenerative disease areas like HD, enabling novel modalities and moving toward high-value later stage clinical development work."
The contracts reflect IXICO's push to broaden its reach across central nervous system disorders while retaining its established position in rarer neurodegenerative conditions.
IXICO's AI-driven platform supports drug and diagnostics development by providing imaging and biomarker analytics to pharmaceutical and life sciences clients worldwide.
Blood-based biomarker tests for Alzheimer's are an area of growing commercial interest, with several diagnostics companies racing to bring validated screening tools to market.
