Blackberry (TSX:BB) shares rose almost 6% on Monday, reaching their highest level in more than a year, following a Wall Street Journal (WSJ) report highlighting renewed momentum in the company’s automotive software business.
This extends a strong rally for BlackBerry, which is up about 51% so far this year, as investors continue to reassess the company’s shift away from smartphones and toward embedded software.
Norwegian Cruise Line Holdings Ltd (NYSE:NCLH) reported mixed first quarter 2026 results, beating profit expectations but missing on revenue and cutting its full-year outlook, sending its shares about 8% lower on Monday.
The cruise operator posted adjusted earnings per share (EPS) of $0.23, well above analyst expectations of $0.15.
GameStop Corp (NYSE:GME) has made an unsolicited, non-binding proposal to acquire eBay Inc (NASDAQ:EBAY, XETRA:EBA) in a deal valuing the online marketplace at approximately $55.5 billion.
The offer proposes $125 per share in a mix of 50% cash and 50% GameStop common stock, with shareholders given the option to elect their preferred form of consideration, subject to pro-rata allocation.

The company said infill drilling across approximately 200 metres of strike length is helping define the core and western extent of the Lion Zone at a depth of roughly 100 metres below surface. The work is intended to support an indicated resource classification and assess the potential for open-pit development.

Loews Corp (NYSE:L) reported lower first quarter 2026 earnings, with net income declining year-over-year amid weaker insurance underwriting results and higher corporate costs, even as its pipeline and hotel businesses posted gains.
Shares of the conglomerate, which has business interests in insurance, energy, hospitality and packaging, fell nearly 4% following the results.
Trillion Energy International Inc. (CSE:TCF, OTCQB:TRLEF, FRA:Z620) has fulfilled a US$250,000 cash commitment toward its earn-in obligations for a 29% participating interest in the M47c,d oil block, an onshore exploration asset in southeastern Türkiye, the company said.
Shares of Trillion added 9% on the update.
