Resolution Minerals Ltd (ASX:RML, OTCQB:RLMLF, FRA:NC3) has secured a key regulatory milestone for its Antimony Ridge project in Idaho, with the project formally added to the US Federal FAST-41 Permitting Transparency Program — an endorsement expected to accelerate development timelines and strengthen its position in the rapidly tightening critical minerals supply chain.
The designation places Antimony Ridge among a select group of strategic US projects prioritised under federal policy aimed at boosting domestic production of critical minerals such as antimony and tungsten, both of which are increasingly vital for defence, energy and industrial applications.
The FAST-41 framework, backed by the Trump administration’s push to reduce reliance on foreign supply, is designed to streamline permitting through coordinated federal oversight, defined timelines and greater transparency. For Resolution, that translates into a clearer pathway to advance bulk sampling and drilling programs at Antimony Ridge, a past-producing, high-grade antimony asset within its broader Horse Heaven project.
Chief executive of US operations Craig Lindsay said the designation marked a “significant step forward” for the project, providing a more efficient route through permitting and enabling the company to progress planned work with greater certainty.
Accelerating a multi-asset US strategy
Antimony Ridge sits at the centre of Resolution’s broader ambition to build an integrated US-based critical minerals platform, spanning exploration, processing and potential downstream development.
The company has steadily assembled a portfolio of complementary assets across its Horse Heaven project, including:
- A recently acquired processing mill and infrastructure at Johnson Creek
- Historical tungsten stockpiles with potential near-term development upside
- A fully funded Phase 2 drilling program at Golden Gate, targeting up to 45 holes
Together, these components are shaping what Resolution describes as an “integrated development pathway” across antimony, tungsten and gold in a tier-one jurisdiction.
The latest milestone complements ongoing exploration momentum across the broader project area, including follow-up drilling at Horse Heaven and continued work at Golden Gate, where a 2026 campaign is aimed at defining a maiden resource.
Strategic relevance in tightening supply chains
The FAST-41 inclusion underscores the growing geopolitical importance of projects like Antimony Ridge, particularly as global supply chains for critical minerals come under strain.
Antimony and tungsten are both classified as critical by the US government, with domestic supply limited and heavily reliant on imports — particularly from China, which has imposed export restrictions in recent years.
Resolution noted that US stockpiles of these materials have been significantly drawn down, partly due to ongoing global conflicts, heightening the urgency for domestic supply solutions.
The Antimony Ridge project itself has historical significance, having supplied antimony to the US government during World War I, World War II and the Korean War. Existing infrastructure from those periods remains on site and is now being assessed for potential integration into future operations.
Its location adjacent to Perpetua Resources’ Stibnite project further highlights the region’s emergence as a strategic hub for US critical minerals development.
Near-term catalysts and funding momentum
With a Plan of Operations already submitted, Resolution is targeting near-term approval to commence bulk sampling of near-surface high-grade antimony mineralisation, alongside a large-scale drilling program of up to 250 holes aimed at defining the project’s scale.
In parallel, the company is advancing a major Phase 2 drilling campaign at Golden Gate, scheduled to begin in May 2026, with up to 13,700 metres of diamond drilling planned to support resource growth.
Importantly, FAST-41 status is also expected to enhance investor visibility and support engagement with potential strategic partners and funding sources aligned with US critical minerals policy.
The designation comes at a pivotal time for Resolution, with the company also progressing plans for a potential NASDAQ listing in the coming weeks — an avenue that could broaden its access to US capital markets and align its funding base with the strategic importance of its assets.
As governments increasingly prioritise secure, domestic supply of critical minerals, Resolution’s expanding footprint in Idaho positions it to play a more prominent role in that shift — backed now by federal recognition and a clearer path through the regulatory process.
