Resolution completes mill and stockpile acquisition to fast-track US antimony and tungsten push

Resolution Minerals Ltd (ASX:RML, OTCQB:RLMLF, FRA:NC3) has completed its acquisition of the Johnson Creek Tungsten & Antimony Mill, associated infrastructure and 2,000 tonnes of historic tungsten ore stockpiles adjacent to its Horse Heaven Project in Idaho, marking a significant step towards potential US-based critical minerals production.

The deal secures the processing mill site, industrial water rights and electrical infrastructure, as well as workshop, storage and accommodation facilities across about 25 acres of private land. The stockpiles were mined from the former Golden Gate Tungsten Mine and are located at the mill site.

Resolution said the acquisition materially strengthens its downstream processing pathway and enhances its ability to fast-track potential production of antimony, tungsten and gold in what it describes as one of North America’s premier critical minerals regions.

The Horse Heaven project, which historically supplied antimony to the US Government during World War I, World War II and the Korean War, sits immediately adjacent to the fully permitted Stibnite Gold Project operated by Perpetua Resources. Resolution controls about 59 square kilometres of tenure in the Boise National Forest.

Johnson Creek Antimony & Tungsten Mill Site, located approximately 3 miles from the village of Yellow Pine, Valley County, Idaho, USA.

Strategic positioning in a tightening market

Resolution is aiming to bring Horse Heaven back into production on an expedited timeframe amid record high tungsten prices and increasing US efforts to secure domestic supply chains for critical minerals.

According to the company, tungsten prices have surged in recent years as Chinese export controls and prolonged underinvestment tighten global supply, with China accounting for roughly 75% of global production.

“Completion of this acquisition represents a pivotal leap in Resolution’s strategy to become a US-based critical minerals producer,” managing director Ari Zaetz said.

“Securing processing location alongside our Horse Heaven Project significantly accelerates our pathway toward planned antimony and tungsten production and strengthens our ability to support Western supply chain security.”

Resolution believes the mill and infrastructure position Horse Heaven as a potential critical metals processing hub, strengthening its ability to pursue US government funding, strategic partnerships, and offtake agreements with defence and industrial customers.

Expansion potential at Golden Gate

The company also sees scope to expand tungsten mineralisation along the north–south trending Golden Gate Fault, with about 3 kilometres of strike considered prospective around the historic Golden Gate Mine.

Historical records show that 1,814 tonnes of tungsten was mined and milled in the 1950s at an average grade of 1.5% WO₃, with additional production and stockpiling in the 1970s. However, these figures are based on historical and foreign estimates and are not reported in accordance with the JORC Code.

A drill program is planned to commence in the June quarter of 2026, alongside metallurgical test work on the existing tungsten stockpiles and detailed engineering and refurbishment assessments of the mill.

The acquisition builds on Resolution’s recent progress at Horse Heaven and Golden Gate, where the company has flagged both gold and tungsten potential in prior updates, and underscores its shift toward integrated exploration and processing in the US critical minerals space.
