Sovereign Metals Ltd (ASX:SVM, OTCQX:SVMLF, AIM:SVML, FRA:SVM) has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with Japanese trading and investment group Mitsui & Co. Ltd to supply natural rutile from its flagship Kasiya Rutile-Graphite Project in Malawi, marking another step towards commercialisation of the world-class deposit.

Under the non-binding agreement, the parties will work towards a formal offtake arrangement covering up to 70,000 tonnes per year of natural rutile concentrate from Kasiya, with an initial four-year supply period from first production and the potential for a further five-year extension.

Noble Capital Markets believes that Power Metallic Mines Inc (TSX-V:PNPN, FRA:IVV1, OTCQB:PNPNF) may be underappreciated by the market, citing continued high-grade drilling results at the Lion Zone as evidence of both strong near-surface continuity and broader district potential.

The first hole of the 2026 winter campaign, PML-26-049, intersected 16.55 meters grading 10.08% copper (15.11% copper equivalent) within massive to brecciated copper sulphides. Century Lithium Corp. (TSX-V:LCE, OTCQX:CYDVF) has upsized its private placement from $5 million to $7 million, the company announced Wednesday morning.

The Vancouver-based company said the offering will now consist of 14.89 million units priced at C$0.47 each, on a “best efforts” basis. Each unit will include one common share and one share purchase warrant.

Ocean Power Technologies Inc (NYSE-A:OPTT) on Wednesday outlined a growing pipeline of defense and maritime opportunities as it reported preliminary results for the third quarter ended January 31, pointing to rising backlog and new US government work that could support future deployments.

The company said backlog rose to about $19.9 million as of January 31, up 165% from a year earlier, while its project pipeline expanded to roughly $163.9 million, an 84% increase from the $89.2 million reported at the end of October.

Rainbow Rare Earths Ltd (LSE:RBW, OTC:RBWRF, FRA:RR1), the LSE-listed critical minerals company, rose 8% to 28p after unveiling a $916 million net present value economic assessment for its Uberaba rare earths project in Brazil and signing a joint development agreement with Mosaic, the New York-listed fertiliser giant.

The Uberaba project, located in the Minas Gerais state of Brazil, would extract rare earth elements from phosphogypsum, a waste product generated during phosphoric acid production at Mosaic's existing operations on site, using proprietary processing technology developed by Rainbow.

Shares in Premier African Minerals Ltd (AIM:PREM, OTC:PRMMF), the AIM-listed mining company whose stock has lost more than 80% of its value over the past year, fell a further 8% to 0.022p after the company raised £500,000 through a discounted share issue to keep its Zimbabwean lithium project afloat.

The fundraise, completed at an issue price of 0.0185 pence per share, a steep discount to the already depressed market price, will provide working capital to support ongoing operations at the Zulu Lithium and Tantalum Project in Zimbabwe.

The Republic of Tunisia missed the procedural deadline to respond to an annulment application lodged by Zenith's subsidiary, Canadian North Africa Oil and Gas (CNAOG), before the Swiss Federal Supreme Court in Lausanne, instead submitting a jurisdictional challenge arguing the case should be heard in Tunisia.

American Tungsten & Antimony Ltd (ASX:AT4, OTCQB:ATALF, FRA:4VZ) has reported a high-grade antimony discovery from its maiden drilling campaign at the Antimony Canyon Project in Utah, with early results confirming the presence of a significant mineralised system.

Initial diamond drilling at the Little Emma prospect returned multiple shallow, high-grade intersections, including 11.03 metres at 3.1% antimony from 25.91 metres, including 2.62 metres at 12.54%, and 8.47 metres at 2.67% antimony from 31.15 metres, including 2.2 metres at 9.69%. These intercepts represent more than 90% of true width and occur within a flat-lying mineralised horizon interpreted to host stibnite-rich hydrothermal breccias.
