Impact Minerals Limited (ASX:IPT) has identified multiple near-surface conductive targets at its 100%-owned Broken Hill Project in New South Wales, following a single-line magnetotelluric (MT) survey across its extensive ground position.
The survey highlighted a conductive corridor extending from around 20 kilometres' depth towards surface within Impact’s tenure, suggesting a potential lithospheric-scale mineral system. Three near-surface conductive zones, labelled T1, T2 and T3, were defined, with follow-up work confirming a discrete conductor at the top of the priority T3 anomaly.
Impact is exploring for base and precious metal sulphide mineralisation — chiefly silver, lead and zinc — within the same Broken Hill geological domain that hosts the world-class Broken Hill orebody. The company controls about 2,000 square kilometres of tenure and more than 100 kilometres of prospective strike surrounding that historical mining district.

The newly identified conductive corridor occurs adjacent to the Redan Fault, interpreted as a crustal-scale structure, and surfaces within a favourable basement embayment beneath the Willyama Supergroup, which hosts the Broken Hill orebody.
Managing director Dr Mike Jones said the significance lies not just in the individual conductors, but in the broader district-scale architecture suggested by the MT data, potentially indicating deep crustal pathways capable of focusing mineralising fluids.
A follow-up ground MT survey over T3 has been completed, with final inversion results pending ahead of potential drill targeting.
