Imugene to showcase azer-cel data at major US healthcare conference

Imugene Ltd (ASX:IMU, OTC:IUGNF, FRA:ILA) will present updated clinical data on its lead cell therapy program at one of the world’s largest healthcare investment forums next week, as the company continues to build international visibility around its immuno-oncology pipeline.

The clinical-stage biotech said chief medical officer Dr John Byon will present at the TD Cowen 46th Annual Health Care Conference in Boston at 1:10 pm ET on Monday, March 2, 2026.

The presentation will focus on azer-cel (azercabtagene zapreleucel), Imugene’s allogeneic, off-the-shelf CAR T cell therapy targeting CD19 for the treatment of blood cancers.

Spotlight on lead CAR T program

Azer-cel is designed as an “off-the-shelf” cell therapy, meaning it is derived from healthy donor cells rather than manufactured individually from each patient. This approach aims to overcome some of the manufacturing complexity, time delays and cost challenges associated with traditional autologous CAR T therapies.

Imugene has reported encouraging clinical data from azer-cel in relapsed or refractory B-cell malignancies, as it works to position the therapy as a potentially more scalable alternative in the competitive CAR T landscape. On Wednesday, the company announced a roughly A$2.7 million R&D tax refund to accelerate its clinical programs.

The TD Cowen conference, to be held from March 2–4 at the Boston Marriott Copley Place, brings together biotechnology and pharmaceutical companies with institutional investors and fund managers from across the United States and internationally. For Imugene, the event provides a platform to engage with global healthcare investors and highlight progress across its pipeline.

Following the event, a copy of the presentation will be made available on the company’s website.

Imugene is supported by an international team of cancer specialists and continues to generate clinical data as it advances its strategy to develop next-generation immuno-oncology treatments for a global market.
