IXICO tipped to keep growing, broker eyes upcoming catalysts

Cavendish has reiterated its positive stance on IXICO PLC (LSE:IXI, OTC:PHYOF) as the company targets growth in Alzheimer’s and Parkinson’s disease, supported by an expanding clinical pipeline and new technology launches.

The broker highlighted IXICO’s review of the 2025 Alzheimer’s disease pipeline, noting 138 drugs in development at the start of the year, up from 127 in 2024, with a sharp rise in phase 1 trials to 48 from 26.

Cavendish said this trend aligns with IXICO’s focus on early-stage assets, giving it the opportunity to engage with developers as studies progress.

"We believe recent results and company updates demonstrate IXICO is delivering on its strategy and moving towards sustainable revenue growth and future profitability. We expect IXICO’s investment into US growth and the larger Alzheimer’s and Parkinson’s disease therapy areas to support future growth," said Cavendish analyst Chris Donnellan.

The analysts also pointed to growing interest in blood-based biomarker diagnostics. IXICO has already secured two contracts in this area, including work with Fujirebio on the Lumipulse test, which was cleared by the FDA in May 2025. Cavendish said demand for blood-based diagnostics is likely to rise as new Alzheimer’s therapies reach the market and trial activity grows.

IXICO will present at the CTAD conference, where attention will focus on Novo Nordisk’s Evoke phase 3 results. Cavendish expects heightened interest in the Alzheimer’s field despite the trials missing their primary endpoint.
