Detailed geological mapping at the Idenburg Project—covering the North Bermol, South Bermol and Nova prospect areas—has outlined multiple new zones of mineralised quartz veining linked to low-angle shear–fault systems for Far East Gold Ltd (ASX:FEG). Field sampling has returned high-grade gold assays across all three prospects, highlighting the district-scale potential.

- North Bermol: Grab and outcrop sample assays up to 22.1 g/t Au and 11.8 g/t Ag.
- South Bermol: Grab and outcrop sample assays up to 7.1 g/t Au and 2.6 g/t Ag.
- Nova Prospect: Grab and outcrop sample assays up to 8.1 g/t Au and 2.1 g/t Ag.
- Samples were collected from quartz–sulphide zones within interpreted low-angle shear and thrust faults; the significance of these structures has been confirmed by drill intercepts at Bermol and North Bermol.
- Results indicate similar gold-mineralised fault/shear structures across multiple prospects, supporting ongoing drill testing of defined targets.

Multiple shear-related gold systems
The mapping campaign has discovered additional outcropping sulphide-bearing quartz veins and shear zones across the Bermol district, extending the structural framework already recognised at North Bermol.
Notably, the same low-angle, northwest-trending shear zones that host high-grade mineralisation at North Bermol are now observed elsewhere in the district, broadening the search window for further high-grade zones. At Nova, mapping and sampling have identified mineralised quartz–sulphide veins within shear zones that return gold grades comparable to Bermol, pointing to a repeatable structural–mineralisation style across targets.
These surface results, together with recent drilling, reinforce the interpretation that multiple shear-related gold systems are present within the Idenburg Project. This coherence between mapping and drilling supports the company’s ongoing work program aimed at new discoveries and resource growth.

Two rigs are currently operating at North Bermol and Sua, with drilling continuing to deliver encouraging results.
Results of detailed mapping
Coinciding with the Phase 1 drill program, the company is carrying out detailed mapping across the Idenburg property. This work builds on SMGC’s review of historical exploration, outlined in the Independent Exploration Target Report, and is aimed at defining new gold-mineralised zones for potential inclusion in the current drilling.
At South Bermol, mapping defines the interpreted southern extension of an approximate 4-kilometre structural corridor.

While the corridor trends generally north-northeast, recent mapping and drilling at North Bermol show that gold mineralisation is also hosted within northwest-trending fault/shear zones.
Initial work at the Nova prospect has identified gold associated with quartz–sulphide veins within low-angle shear zones, mirroring the style seen at North Bermol. SMGC’s compilation of historical exploration notes soil sampling over a broad area at Nova that outlined a 300-metre cluster of anomalous gold (>0.1 g/t Au) and outcrop samples of 1 metre at 3.90 g/t Au and 1 metre at 9.06 g/t Au.

What’s next?
The company will continue detailed mapping and surface rock sampling to delineate additional mineralised zones within the Idenburg prospects.
Resulting drill targets will be ranked, with priority targets slated for testing as part of the ongoing Phase 1 scout drilling program.
