Qualcomm Inc (NASDAQ:QCOM, ETR:QCI) shares climbed nearly 16% on Monday after the semiconductor maker announced that it will release new artificial intelligence (AI) accelerator chips, placing the company into direct competition with Nvidia and AMD.
Qualcomm said both the AI200 chip, which will go on sale in 2026, and the AI250, planned for 2027, can come in a system that fills up a full, liquid-cooled server rack.
Lululemon Athletica Inc (NASDAQ:LULU) shares rose nearly 4% in early trading on Monday after the athletic apparel maker announced a partnership with the National Football League (NFL) to create an apparel collection.
The collection will be available for sale beginning on October 28 and will feature men's and women's apparel and accessories for all of the NFL’s 32 teams.
Keurig Dr Pepper Inc (NASDAQ:KDP) on Monday reported better than expected revenue for its third quarter 2025, while also raising its annual sales forecast on expected strong demand for its energy beverages and carbonated soft drinks.
The beverage maker’s revenue for the quarter rose 10.7% year over year to $4.31 billion, surpassing the analyst consensus estimate of $4.15 billion, according to data compiled by LSEG.
Novartis AG (ADR) (NYSE:NVS) announced it will acquire San Diego-based biopharmaceutical firm Avidity Biosciences (NASDAQ:RNA), which is developing RNA therapeutics for genetic neuromuscular diseases, in a transaction valued at approximately US$12 billion.
The deal, unanimously approved by the boards of both companies, is designed to enhance Novartis’ neuroscience pipeline with Avidity’s late-stage programs and its proprietary Antibody Oligonucleotide Conjugates (AOCs) platform, a muscle-directed RNA delivery technology.
Shares in Ondine Biomedical Inc (AIM:OBI, OTC:OBIMF) climbed 4% to 13p, extending their year-to-date gain to 44%, after the company reported encouraging results from its Steriwave ICU pilot study at Royal Columbian Hospital in Canada.
The study showed that Steriwave, Ondine’s non-antibiotic nasal photodisinfection treatment, significantly reduced harmful pathogens in intensive care patients.
