Resolution Minerals tapped to brief ambassador ahead of PM’s meeting with President Trump

Resolution Minerals Ltd (ASX:RML, OTC:RLMLF) has been invited by Australia’s Ambassador to the United States, Kevin Rudd, to provide a formal briefing on its Horse Heaven Gold-Antimony-Tungsten Project in Idaho ahead of Prime Minister Anthony Albanese’s meeting with US President Donald Trump in Washington on October 20.

The briefing underscores growing recognition of Horse Heaven’s role in advancing secure, transparent critical mineral supply chains between Australia and the United States.

Australian-led project gains diplomatic spotlight

Resolution said the Ambassador’s request highlights the strategic importance of the Idaho project — a large-scale, Australian-managed development positioned near Perpetua Resources’ Stibnite Gold-Antimony Mine, a roughly A$3 billion operation that remains the only US-based source of antimony.

Resolution has submitted a comprehensive project dossier to the Australian Embassy in Washington, outlining Horse Heaven’s resource potential, development pathway and contribution to the US Critical Minerals List — with all three target commodities (gold, antimony and tungsten) classified as critical for national security and industrial resilience.

CEO of US operations Craig Lindsay said the company welcomed the opportunity to contribute to bilateral discussions at the highest level.

“Resolution Minerals appreciates the opportunity to brief Ambassador Rudd on the Horse Heaven Project ahead of the Prime Minister’s visit to Washington,” Lindsay said.

“Horse Heaven is a significant Australian-led project in the United States, with historical and potential future production of gold, antimony and tungsten — all critical to industrial and defence applications,” he added. “The briefing reflects constructive cooperation between Australia and the US on the development of secure, transparent critical mineral supply chains.”

Strategic role in US critical minerals push

The invitation comes as Washington accelerates efforts to onshore production of key defence and technology inputs. Both antimony and tungsten are on the US Department of the Interior’s 2025 Draft Critical Minerals List, reflecting their essential roles in national security, munitions and advanced manufacturing.

The Horse Heaven Project comprises 729 federal lode mining claims covering more than 14,500 acres and hosts multiple historic antimony, tungsten and gold mines, including the Golden Gate and Antimony Ridge prospects.

Horse Heaven Project location map, highlighting the location of the two current major antimony-gold-silver-tungsten targets, the Golden Gate Target (where Phase 1 drilling is currently underway) and the Antimony Ridge Target. Also highlighted is the fully-permitted Stibnite Gold Project, which is only 6km east of Horse Heaven.

Located near Cascade, Idaho, and adjacent to Stibnite, the project benefits from access to upgraded local infrastructure and established mining expertise in the region.

Exploration under way

Resolution has completed its Phase 1 drilling campaign at Horse Heaven and expects to release results shortly. Additional work programs, including stream sediment sampling and rock chip surveys, are under way to further delineate the project’s mineral potential.

The company said it would continue advancing exploration and development in support of Australia–US cooperation on critical minerals and will keep the market updated as results become available.
