Resolution Minerals Ltd (ASX:RML, OTC:RLMLF) has secured approval to double the scale of its current drill campaign at the Horse Heaven gold-antimony-tungsten-silver project in Idaho, while also expanding its landholding by a further 600 acres.
The US Forest Service has granted an amendment to Resolution’s Plan of Operation, enabling the company to extend its Phase 1 drilling season by an additional month beyond the scheduled end date of September 30. The extension will allow Resolution to add 8–10 extra holes to the program, taking the total to 18–20 holes for about 18,000 feet (5,490 metres) of drilling.

RC rig to take over in October
Resolution has completed more than 7,300 feet (2,231 metres) of core drilling to date and is currently working on its ninth hole at the Golden Gate target. The diamond core rig will wrap up operations at the end of September before an MP1500 reverse circulation (RC) rig arrives on site around October 1.
The shift to RC drilling is designed to accelerate drilling rates and generate broader datasets to support future mineral resource estimates and inform next year’s Phase II program. Three holes have already been submitted for assay, with initial results expected within four weeks.
Resolution CEO of US operations Craig Lindsay said the amendment was a significant milestone for the company.
“We have now secured a material extension of our Phase 1 drill program, including more metres and more holes, and increased our land package to cover additional areas of potential mineralisation,” Lindsay said.
“We are deeply appreciative of the willingness of the US Forest Service to work with us to help extend our drill program, which will allow us to double our expected footage, which will generate a significantly higher level of drill data to guide next season’s program, future resource estimates and permitting for an expanded exploration program.”

Also highlighted is the fully-permitted Stibnite Gold Project, which is only 6km east of Horse Heaven.
Expanded footprint in the Yellow Pine District
Alongside the drilling extension, Resolution has boosted its footprint in the historic Yellow Pine Mining District by staking 30 additional federal lode claims, increasing the Horse Heaven land package to 14,580 acres (59 square kilometres).
Expanded Horse Heaven claim block totalling approximately 59km2.
Management said the newly secured ground is considered prospective for mineralisation and will be assessed through early-stage fieldwork this fall. The company continues to take a district-scale approach to Horse Heaven, where neighbour Perpetua Resources (NASDAQ:PPTA, TSX:PPTA) is advancing the Stibnite Gold Project.

What’s next
Resolution will continue drilling at Golden Gate through October, with RC drilling set to deliver both infill and step-out holes. Ongoing work also includes stream sediment sampling, mapping and rock-chip programs to further define targets across the expanded tenement package.
Results from the first batch of assays are expected in the coming month, marking the next key milestone in what has become Resolution’s largest drill effort to date at Horse Heaven.
