Solis Minerals Ltd (ASX:SLM, TSX-V:SLMN, OTCQB:SLMFF) has appointed veteran geologist Anthony Greenaway as a non-executive director, bolstering its technical and operational depth as it advances copper exploration in Peru’s southern coastal belt.
Greenaway brings more than 30 years’ international experience across Latin America, Australia, Asia, and Africa, spanning exploration, development and production of lithium, copper, gold, platinum group element and iron ore projects.
He most recently led the discovery and development of the world-class Salinas lithium deposit in Brazil for Latin Resources Ltd (ASX:LRS, OTC:LRSRF), culminating in the company’s A$600 million sale. He is currently managing director of Core Energy Minerals (ASX:CR3) and is a member of both the Australasian Institute of Mining and Metallurgy and the Australian Institute of Company Directors.
Solis chair Chris Gale said Greenaway’s experience across South America would be “invaluable” as the company progresses its Peruvian copper assets.
“Tony and Mitch [Thomas], our CEO, have a strong track record of collaboration and value creation from their previous work together,” Gale said. “Tony’s recent successful development of the Salinas project in Brazil is a testament to his vast experience and excellent technical knowledge.”
The appointment will take effect once Solis completes its transition to Australian domicile, expected around November 3, 2025.
Solis is focused on unlocking copper potential across its Ilo Este and Ilo Norte projects in southern Peru, where the company recently intersected visible copper mineralisation in its first drill hole at Ilo Este.
