Range Resources (LON:RRL), up 90.5%. Trading resumed after a nearly 6 month hiatus after the Trinidad oil and gas firm received £5.2mln from a recently agreed funding deal with Beijing Sibo Investment Management.
Trap Oil (LON:TRAP) up 56.8%. The oil explorer is to start a new exploration programme in the North Sea shortly.
Beowulf Mining (LON:BEM) up 23.2%. The company has produced high grade concentrates from its Kallak North Project in Sweden.
Fallers
Renewable Energy Holdings (LON:REH) down 32.5%. In its end of year results, the company said its financial position was dependent on the approval of its planning permission for its Welsh wind farm.
Cyan Holdings (LON:CYAN) down 21.2%. The company has raised £4.1mln through a placing and subscription of 2.06bn shares at 0.20p each.
Alba Mineral Resources (LON:ALBA) down 13%. Chade van Hatch has been appointed to the company's board as chief financial officer and company secretary with immediate effect.
RISERS
Diageo (LON:DGE), the drinks giant, up over 7% after press reports at the weekend suggested a takeover bid was on its way.
Vodafone (LON:VOD) up 1.3% as news emerged it was in early stage talks with cable operator Liberty over exchnaging assets after it emerged last week the pair were not in merger talks.
Armadale Capital (LON:ACP) jumped 220% as it struck a "landmark" agreement to fund and develop its Mpokoto project in the Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC) into production, which is earmarked for the first half of 2016.
FALLERS
Pharma group Shire (LON:SHP) dropped 2.57% after it emerged a £12.4bn bid for big biotech Actelion had been turned down.
US focused Atlantic Coal (LON:ATC) was down 23.33%, after its loss for last year widened compared to 2014, mainly due to lower sales volumes and low prices towards the end of the year, but posted record output from its mine in Pennsylvania.
Sound Oil (LON:SOU) eased 9.38% as investors did not appear to hail news of the latest Nervesa appraisal well in Italy.
