International Graphite Ltd (ASX:IG6) is looking to double its annual revenue to $28 million through a modest $1.7 million expansion. The company is accelerating its growth strategy with plans to expand graphite processing capacity in Western Australia and explore international development opportunities.
Development is advancing rapidly at its planned Collie Graphite Micronising Facility, following the release of a Front-End Engineering and Design (FEED) study in March 2025.
The FEED study estimated a capital cost of $6.3 million to achieve mechanical completion for a facility capable of producing approximately 4,000 tonnes per annum.

The company is also leveraging its intellectual property and technical know-how and evaluating new facility locations in Europe and the United States, including a proposed site in Savannah, Georgia.
US$7.5 in award funding from the US Department of Defense (DoD) to support its integrated “mine to market” strategy from the Springdale Graphite Project could also help expansion efforts.
International expansion and IP-driven development
The company is considering overseas expansion in response to growing demand for secure graphite supply.
Years of flowsheet development and operating experience at the Collie facility have resulted in validated products that support potential replication in international jurisdictions.
Prospective sites in the United States — particularly the Savannah site — are being assessed as part of this strategy.
US support for critical minerals and funding opportunity
The United States government’s recognition of graphite as a critical mineral underpins International Graphite’s proposal to the US Department of Defense.
The company has submitted a proposal for US$7.5 million in award funding to back its integrated Springdale project, which aims to supply anode materials for lithium-ion batteries and other strategic applications.
Product pricing supports future processing facilities
Strong sales prices for both standard and high-purity micronised graphite — as well as expandable graphite products — support the commercial rationale behind developing additional processing infrastructure.
These product streams are key to expanding International Graphite’s customer base across multiple jurisdictions.
