Riversgold continues to expand high-grade gold footprint at Kalgoorlie East’s Northern Zone

Riversgold Ltd has intersected further high-grade gold mineralisation at its Northern Zone Intrusive Hosted Gold Project, part of the Kalgoorlie East Gold Project in Western Australia.

Results from the final four angled reverse circulation (RC) holes of an 11-hole program have reinforced the continuity and scale of the shallow porphyry-hosted system.

Notably, all 11 angled RC holes intersected gold mineralisation, confirming the presence of a broad, mineralised halo surrounding the host porphyry.

Stand out results include:

  • 18 metres at 1.94 g/t gold from 49 metres, including 3 metres at 8.20 g/t Au from 60 metres;
  • 11 metres at 1.38 g/t from 80 metres; and
  • 14 metres at 0.72 g/t from 41 metres, including 3 metres at 2.60 g/t from 52 metres.

"Good gold tenor"

Commenting on the results, Riversgold chairman David Lenigas said: “The results continue to complement previous drill programs, and we continue to increase the footprint of the gold mineralisation, revealing good gold tenor within the shallower top of this considerable mineralised porphyry.

"We have a further 32 holes in the lab awaiting assay that will continue the Company’s consistent and regular news releases, reporting gold results as we advance the Kal East - Northern Zone Project towards a maiden MRE, and report on progress at our new early stage gold, copper silver and antinomy discovery in New Brunswick.

Moving Forward

Riversgold is also awaiting assay results from 1,303 samples generated from a 1,805 metre vertical RC drill program targeting oxide mineralisation across the project.

Consequently, these results will be incorporated into an updated Leapfrog 3D model, which will guide the next phase of exploration.

Looking ahead, the growing dataset is expected to underpin a future Mineral Resource Estimate as Riversgold advances its understanding of the deposit.
