Ford Motor Company (NYSE:F) reported fourth-quarter earnings that surpassed Wall Street expectations on Tuesday, but its electric vehicle (EV) division posted a steep loss and the automaker warned of increasing challenges ahead.

The company posted earnings per share of $0.39, exceeding analysts’ estimates of $0.32, while revenue came in at $48.2 billion, ahead of the $42.8 billion forecast.

BigBear.ai (NYSE:BBAI) shares surged more than 45% after the company announced it has secured a contract with the Department of Defense’s Chief Digital and Artificial Intelligence Office (CDAO) to advance its Virtual Anticipation Network (VANE) prototype.

The VANE prototype will leverage advanced AI models to detect trends and assess media content from countries identified as potential foreign adversaries.

Novo Nordisk (NYSE:NVO) shares moved higher as the Danish drugmaker posted better-than-expected financial results for the fourth quarter driven by demand for its obesity drugs.

The company posted a net profit of 28.23 billion Danish kroner (about US$4 billion), ahead of analysts’ expectations of 26.09 billion Danish kroner.

Uber Technologies Inc (NYSE:UBER, ETR:UT8) shares fell more than 8% after the ride-sharing and food delivery app issued weak guidance for the current quarter.

For the first quarter of 2025, Uber projected gross bookings growth of 17% to 21%.

GSK PLC (LSE:GSK, NYSE:GSK) shares climbed 5% in early trading on Wednesday after the drugs giant appeared to shrug off vaccine-related woes and mollified the City by raising its long-term sales target.

It is now expecting revenue to exceed £40 billion by 2031, up from £38 billion previously.
