More than 26% of Games Workshop Group PLC (LSE:GAW) shareholders voted against the company’s executive remuneration policy in today's AGM.
The voting results follow a bizarrely short trading update comprising just 23 words stating that trading “has been in line with the board's expectations."
Remuneration policies typically garner around 90% approval from shareholders, although only 50% of votes are required for them to pass.
In its annual report, Games Workshop suggested a £1.8 million salary and bonus package for chief executive Kevin Rountree and £1.2 million for chief finance officer Rachel Tongue.
This represents a 29% yearly increase for both.
