Analysts have reiterated their ‘buy’ recommendation for Naked Wines PLC (AIM:WINE, OTCQX:NWINF) after it announced its new chief executive officer on Monday.
Rodrigo Maza will take over as the CEO of the wine retailer in the coming months, having only joined as UK managing director in September 2023.
His experience includes scaling and launching several online delivery businesses such as AB InBev’s TaDa Delivery, which is used in Latin America, and its home bar division PerfectDraft.
“Naked's new CEO designate looks to have a very relevant set of skills and must have made a telling impression since joining the business as UK MD as recently as September,” said analysts at Jefferies.
Founder and current CEO Rowan Gormley highlighted Maza’s “ability to energise his team” while noting his “compelling combination of entrepreneurial start-ups and big company best practice”.
Jefferies rates the stock a ‘buy’ and targets a 95p share price.
Naked Wines traded flat on Monday, with shares at around 63p, indicating around a 50% discount to Jefferies’ estimates.
