Galliford Try confident in outlook for year, maintaining strategic progress

Galliford Try Holdings PLC (LSE:GFRD) said its operations are performing well and it is trading in line with the upgraded outlook set out in September.

In a statement ahead of its annual shareholder meeting, the infrastructure construction group said it is “encouraged by the momentum in the first half of the year, with a number of recent project wins, and the board remains confident of maintaining progress on its sustainable growth strategy and meeting its objectives for the current financial year”.

Earlier this week it acquired AVRS Systems to join the growing Environment business.

And last month, it agreed terms to dispose of its “non-core” piling business, adding that the sale is expected to complete later this month.

Shares in the company are up around 40% since the last AGM.
