Galliford Try wins second housebuilding contract at Brent Cross Town development

Galliford Try Holdings PLC (LSE:GFRD) said it has won an £87 million contract to build three blocks of flats and associated amenities, including an adjoining leisure centre and retail space, at the new Brent Cross Town development in north London.

The construction group said its Building arm has been appointed by property developer Related Argent and investment manager Invesco Real Estate, who are delivering the contract in partnership with Barnet Council.

In March, the business won a £75 million client to build 249 new homes for the same regeneration scheme, with today's new build-to-rent contract seeing a further 286 apartments across three blocks.

Galliford Try chief executive Bill Hocking said in the statement: "We are delighted to be working once again with Related Argent on one of the most significant build-to-rent schemes in London. Our business has a strong track record in producing high-quality residential developments with the sector remaining a key focus for our Building business within our sustainable growth strategy."
