Galliford Try gets build-to-rent homes in north London contract

Galliford Try Holdings PLC (LSE:GFRD) said its building business has been appointed to a £75mln contract to create a new build-to-rent residential building in Brent Cross Town, north London.

The appointment was made by Related Argent and Invesco Real Estate on behalf of a separate US account client, the company said in a statement.

The homes are to be part of a 180-acre Brent Cross Town regeneration scheme, the construction group added, which is being delivered by Barnet Council and Related Argent.

In total, 249 new homes for private rent across three new blocks will be built as part of the contract.

"The private rental and wider residential sectors are an integral part of our Sustainable Growth Strategy, particularly when we have the opportunity to work with respected repeat clients like Related Argent and Invesco Real Estate,” said chief executive of Galliford Try Bill Hocking in the statement.

“We look forward to continuing our collaboration with them and all the stakeholders involved to produce more high-quality homes for the local community," he added.
