Seeing Machines Ltd (AIM:SEE, OTC:SEEMF)’s 16th new contract in the automotive sector has reassured Stifel analysts of the AI-based monitoring technology group’s investment thesis.

Stifel noted that the initial US$15 million contract “was one of the few awards we have seen in the industry in recent months”, adding that it comes from an existing tier-one customer for an existing OEM in Europe.

In a strategic move to strengthen its management team, Poolbeg Pharma PLC (AIM:POLB, OTCQB:POLBF) has announced the appointment of key former executives from Amryt Pharma, underscoring its commitment to advancing its clinical assets.

Chairman Cathal Friel, who co-founded both Poolbeg and Amryt, will spearhead a similar strategic approach followed by Amryt, which successfully developed drugs for unmet medical needs and bought in commercial assets before being sold for just shy of US$1.5 billion.

Galliford Try Holdings PLC (LSE:GFRD) said it has strengthened its capabilities in the water sector and energy sectors with a bolt-on acquisition costing up to £7 million.

The purchase of AVRS Systems Limited (AVRS), a specialist mechanical, electrical, instrumentation, control and automation (MEICA) design and build contractor, has been completed for an initial £4.5 million from the group's cash resources.
