CRH listing switch in focus as mixed first half expected
Building materials group CRH PLC (LSE:CRH) could see growth differ on either side of the Atlantic, just weeks ahead of a switch of its primary listing to the United States.
Having announced intentions to rejig its listing in March’s full-year results, CRH is poised to leave the Irish stock exchange on 25 September and rehouse to a primary listing on the New York market.
Hays results, a potential pivot to growth areas?
Elsewhere, Hays PLC (LSE:HAS) reports full-year results, not long after it provided an update that revealed a weakening of recruitment activity.
The FTSE 250-listed recruiter said regional fees fell 7% in the UK & Ireland – which makes up 20% of its business – while overall net fees dropped 2% in the fourth quarter ending June 30.
Fed head Powell's speech at Jackson Hole will set tone for markets
Many traders and investors will also be keeping an eye on what senior central bankers, including Federal Reserve chief Jerome Powell, are saying at the Jackson Hole symposium, which is held between Thursday and Saturday.
The normally sleepy resort town of Jackson Hole in Wyoming will turn into a hub for economists from around the world meet to discuss interest rates, inflation and other hot economic topics.
