Results and earnings updates pick up on both sides of the Atlantic as we head into the second half of July in the coming week, with Ocado, easyJet, Tesla, Netflix and many others on the agenda.
There are also some crucial macroeconomic releases to watch, notably UK inflation on Wednesday.

Things pick up on Tuesday, with Ocado Group PLC (LSE:OCDO) generally an entertaining read.
The robot-powered grocery delivery group heads into first-half results as one of the most shorted stocks in Europe, though some analysts predict good things.
A half-year trading update is also expected for Wagamama owner The Restaurant Group PLC (LSE:RTN), amid rising costs and pressure from shareholders to split up the businesses.
Later on, more US big banks are due to report, as earnings season gets fully underway.

Inflation should be the dominant theme on Wednesday, with an update after data a month ago showed UK core inflation hitting a 31-year high, while the headline consumer price index also surprisingly held steady at 8.7%, when it had been expected to ease.
Another surprise on the upside could force the Bank of England to hike rates to 5.5% at the meeting next month.
In company news, Severn Trent Water’s first quarter update would have been testing enough even before the near collapse of peer Thames Water.
The views of boss Liv Garfield will be particularly interesting after she recently moved to put herself in Labour’s good books ahead of any change of government by proposing a “new breed of declared social purpose companies”.
Later in the day, Tesla Inc (NASDAQ:TSLA) will take attention as a popular investment on both sides of the Atlantic. Its second-quarter results, released after market close in New York, have been tipped for another earnings beat, despite worries about the effects of its price cuts this year.
At a similar time, investors in Netflix will be eager to see in its results announcement how the streaming giant's crackdown on password sharing impacted its revenue and earnings, with some analysts anticipating a sizeable boost.

Thursday should be even busier, including a first-quarter update from the parent of Royal Mail.
International Distributions Services PLC (LSE:IDS) is expected to report on a swing back to underlying profits, though some analysts expect that after the recent pay deal agreed with striking workers could see things “get worse before they get better”.
Getting a handle on easyJet is also not straightforward for investors at present.
In theory, buoyant holiday demand and weaker fuel prices should mean good numbers but why then did the airline just cancel 1,700 flights over July, August and September?
Things are slightly less choppy at Dunelm Group PLC (LSE:DNLM) despite the non-food retail sector being right in the middle of the cost of living squeeze.
Its house broker is quite bullish though, which might not be that surprising.
For tech investors with a global view, earnings from Taiwanese chip giant TSMC are likely to be of interest, with it having already warned that revenues have been dented by customer destocking.

Friday should be less busy, but there is interest for investors in Close Brothers Group PLC (LSE:CBG), fresh from its shares scraping a decade low, its savings accounts appearing on best-buy lists and a report that it is looking at options for its asset management arm.
Expect the merchant bank's results to potentially see confirmation or denial of this latter point, plus management’s updated views on the banking and insurance landscape.
It will also be quieter as TheWorks, whose investors had pencilled in a trading update, gave notice just a week in advance that its auditor has “requested additional time to complete its standard audit procedures”.
Final results for the stationery and toys retailer said it was assured that nothing untoward had been uncovered and it now plans to publish the numbers on Wednesday 2 August, including an underlying profit (EBITDA) of £9mln, as predicted earlier in the year.
UK economic data will be led with retail sales and consumer confidence data, which both improved more than expected in last month’s update.
