Cobalt Blue Holdings Ltd (ASX:COB, OTC:CBBHF) has entered a test-work agreement with Hudbay Minerals Inc. that will see COB’s proprietary minerals processing technology used for Hudbay’s wholly-owned Flin Flon tailings storage facility in Manitoba, Canada.

In the co-operation agreement, the processing technology will assess the ability to recover gold, silver, copper, zinc, cobalt and sulphur from a pyrite/pyrrhotite concentrate produced from the tailings.

Although the Canadian province of Newfoundland has had a long history of mining that began in the 1800s, the current ‘gold rush’ there started in 2021 with several high-grade drill results reported at New Found Gold Corp’s Queensway project.

According to the Canadian Mineral Exploration Information Bulletin, which is published by the Government of Canada, Newfoundland and Labrador saw the third-largest exploration spending increase amongst provinces in 2022 in dollar terms (+$74 million), behind only Nunavut (+$118 million) and Ontario (+$93 million), as well as the third-largest yearly rise percentage terms (+44%).

TNR Gold is celebrating the release of a new economic report on its copper royalty project, Los Azules in Argentina.

The project’s operator, McEwen Mining Inc (TSX:MUX, NYSE:MUX), unveiled an updated Preliminary Economic Assessment (PEA) for Los Azules that showcased promising results, according to the company.

ACME Lithium Inc. (CSE:ACME, OTCQB:ACLHF) has reported additional results from its Phase 2 expanded drill program at its Clayton Valley lithium brine project in Nevada.

The company announced results from its recently completed Dissolved Mineral Resource Exploration (DMRE) test well TW-1 which indicate that a total lithium concentration of 110 milligrams per litre (mg/L) was present in fluids airlifted from approximately 496 feet of perforated casing crossing the Lower Gravel Unit (LGU).

ImagineAR Inc revealed that its subsidiary FameDays has been selected by 4Front Development to be the technology project lead for a giant Immersive Entertainment Center to be built in a sprawling residential and commercial complex in the southern United States.

In addition, the Vancouver, British Columbia-based augmented reality company said it has signed a binding letter of intent with 4Front following which 4Front will acquire a minority share interest in FameDays Inc.

BioVie Inc (NASDAQ:BIVI) announced that baseline data from a multicenter, randomized, placebo-controlled Phase 3 study of its Alzheimer’s Disease treatment was presented at the 83rd Scientific Sessions of the American Diabetes Association over the weekend in San Diego.

The company’s treatment, NE3107, is an oral small molecule, blood-brain permeable anti-inflammatory insulin sensitizer that binds extracellular signal-regulated kinase. The Phase 3 trial is the largest study yet evaluating the safety and efficacy of NE3107 in patients with Alzheimer’s, the company said.

Zephyr Energy PLC (AIM:ZPHR, OTCQB:ZPHRF) reported a higher revenue following its non-operated asset acquisitions and progress in the Williston Basin.

At US$41.1mln revenue for the year marked a rise from US$6mln in the prior 12-month period, meanwhile, pre-tax profit was up at US$22.6mln in 2022 versus US$1mln in the year before.

Cyprium Metals Ltd (ASX:CYM, OTC:CYPMF) has taken a step towards restarting the Nifty Copper Project by securing a A$21 million equivalent USD-denominated secured loan facility with the resources arm of prominent US investment manager Nebari Partners, LLC.

The 18-month facility is with Nebari Natural Resources Credit Fund II, LP, and refinances the company’s existing short-term Secured Loan Deed facility with Avior Asset Management No. 2 Pty Ltd.

VolitionRx Limited said that the underwriters of its previously announced underwritten public offering of its common stock have exercised their option to purchase an additional 1,950,000 shares to cover over allotments, bringing the total gross proceeds to Volition from the offering to approximately $19.0 million, before deducting underwriting commissions and other offering expenses payable by Volition. All of the shares of common stock sold in the offering, including the over-allotment, were offered by Volition. The exercise of the over-allotment option closed on June 23, 2023. Volition intends to use the net proceeds from the offering for research and continued product development, clinical studies, product commercialization, working capital and other general corporate purposes, including potential strategic acquisitions.

G2 Energy Corp has said it intends to settle debt by issuing up to 7,500,000 units in the capital of the company at a price of $0.05 per Unit to settle bona fide debt of up to C$375,000.00. Each unit consists of one common share in the capital of the company and one common share purchase warrant. Each warrant will be exercisable by the warrant holder to acquire one additional common share at a price of C$0.08 for a period of twenty-four months from the closing of the private placement, subject to an acceleration clause. In addition, the company said it is amending the terms of the previously announced financing of up to 14,000,000 units at a price of $0.05 per unit for aggregate gross proceeds of up to C$700,000 whereby the company will reduce the number of units to up to 12,000,000 units. Each unit consists of one common share in the capital of the company and one common share purchase Warrant. Each warrant has the same terms as outlined above, including the acceleration provisions. Proceeds from the financing are intended to be used in connection with optimizing production from current producing and idle wells on the Masten leases, potential new acquisitions, as well as for general working capital. The company may elect to close the financing in one or more tranches and it is anticipated that insiders of the company may participate in the financing.

Midnight Sun Mining Corp said it intends to extend the exercise period of a total of 5,619,714 share purchase warrants, all of which are exercisable at $0.50 per common share. The warrants were issued pursuant to a private placement which closed on July 2, 2021. The company proposes to extend the expiry dates for these warrants by an additional twelve months and accordingly, the new expiry dates for the warrants will be July 2, 2024. All other terms and conditions of the warrants remain unchanged.
