In the latest development in the boardroom battle between Boohoo Group and Revolution Beauty, the online fashion retailer has proposed the appointment of THG’s Beauty boss, Rachel Horsefield, to the board.
A statement released by Boohoo said Horsefield will be included in the future independent board appointment process.
Boohoo hopes she joins alongside Alistair McGeorge and Neil Catto, who were proposed as appointments earlier this week.
Horsefiled will “bring significant e-commerce and beauty sector experience to the reconstituted board,” said Boohoo, which owns 26.6% of Revolution Beauty.
Earlier this week, Boohoo launched a full-scale attack on Revolution’s board, saying it will vote against the reappointment of senior members at the AGM next Tuesday (27 June).
Revolution snapped back, claiming Boohoo’s attempts were “opportunistic and self-serving”.
