Live Company Group PLC (AIM:LVCG) has said that all 21,000 tickets for the Formula E Race taking place in Cape Town this weekend have sold out.
"I am delighted that the tickets for this inaugural race have sold out and look forward to the race in this iconic city of Cape Town this week-end,” said chairman David Ciclitira in a statement.
Earlier this month, the events group said it had sold out all its corporate hospitality tickets at the event, expecting 3,400 VIP guests and hosting a 30-person suite in the trackside lounge.
Live Company also attained several smaller sponsorships agreements after failing to obtain a title sponsor, it said.
Agreements had been signed with the City of Cape Town, Western Cape Government, Nissan, Uber, South African Tourism, E-TV and Nedbank.
“We are delighted with our current sponsors and so pleased they could join us for this inaugural Cape Town race. We are currently in advanced discussions to sign a Title Sponsor from this list for next year's race,” said Ciclitira.
Cape Town will become the first sub-Saharan African City to host a Formula E round.
