SpectrumX bolsters finance team

SpectrumX Holdings UK Ltd has bolstered its senior finance team, appointing Scott Grant as financial controller, as it continues to advance towards a London listing and bulks up its commercial operations.

The company said Grant will work with chief financial officer Barry Saint at what it describes as a “significant time for the company”.

Grant was previously at FTSE 100 firm Johnson Matthey, where he was a financial controller across the life science and technology business, SpectrumX noted, and, was a practitioner at a ‘Big 4’ accountancy firm, as a senior associate at PwC working with listed and private biotech groups.

The appointment comes as the company is conducting a pre-IPO capital raise in advance of a planned listing on the London Stock Exchange, alongside the expansion of its commercial offerings and presence across the UK and continental Europe.

“We are delighted to have Scott join our team,” said SpectrumX chief executive Damien Hancox in a statement. “With his sector-specific knowledge and audit background, he will be a key addition as we expand our commercial offerings and prepare for the next stage of our growth.”

Saint added: “Scott joins our growing business at an exciting time in its development. I am pleased to welcome him to the team. He brings a wealth of expertise, and I am certain that he will make a significant contribution to the company’s ongoing success.”

SpectrumX last week revealed it will become a licensed supplier to the NHS for its hand sanitiser product, Spectricept Care+ Hands, and, in late November, it announced it was prepared to move forward with the clinical development of its respiratory drug candidate SPX-001 after it held a constructive scientific advice meeting.
