Shares in Quantum Data Energy 317% to 5p after the independent UK power producer had its stock market listing restored following a temporary suspension.
Chief executive Pieter Krügel told Vox Markets that the trouble stemmed from the unexpected resignation of its former auditor, which had left the company unable to file its annual audited accounts on time and triggered the suspension.
A new auditor has since completed the audit and issued a clean opinion, clearing the way for the accounts to be filed and the listing restored.
Krügel also flagged progress on the ground.
A second power asset, with 7.5 megawatts of capacity, has entered commercial operation, delivered on time and on budget.
A separate five-megawatt project is under construction, with completion expected in the fourth quarter.
Quantum Data develops, owns and operates energy assets that supply flexible power to the grid.
It is also chasing opportunities to supply power to artificial intelligence data centres, a fast-growing source of electricity demand.
