Blue Energy (ASX: BUL) has reported that its Pipeline Survey Licence application (PSL 49), lodged with the Queensland Government is expected to take some 4 to 6 weeks to process through the various regulatory bodies required for approval.
The PSL is designed to enable more detailed investigations of the optimum pipeline route from Blue Energy’s ATP813P acreage in the Galilee Basin to potential export locations on the east coast of Queensland between Abbot Point to Gladstone.
“Fast tracking a viable pipeline route from the Galilee Basin is a critical element in the commercialisation process of potential gas resources in the Galilee Basin, said Peter Cockcroft executive chairman of Blue Energy.
He said the Galilee Basin, currently lacks existing gas transportation infrastructure. "We are working with the respective government agencies to ensure a timely processing and grant of the licence.”
The company has a number of authorities to prospect and targeted drill locations in ATP813P.
