This morning, AIM listed software developer Intercede (AIM: IGP) released its latest identity and credential management system software suite, MyID® 8 Enterprise SR1. According to Intercede this latest version of the MyID system widens the scope of Intercede's target market.
MyID software manages the secure registration and vetting of identity data, and also issues and manages identity credentials and devices. The combination of secure devices and identity credentials, managed by MyID, are used in a wide range of applications including: Employee photo identification, Physical Building Access control, Logical Access control and strong authentication to PCs and Networks.
To complement the new products launch, Intercede were able to announce that it has already signed up new manufacturing customers in Austria and Switzerland, to issue Aladdin authentication devices to thousands of employees. Aladdin manufactures USB Authentication Tokens to control access to large corporate networks. MyID 8 supports the device.
According to Intercede, Aladdin authentication token support was a key factor in the selection of MyID 8 Enterprise SR1 by these customers. Employees at both of these manufacturing customers will use their MyID issued Aladdin tokens to authenticate to their company's networks and to logon to Microsoft Windows PC's. A European bank has also selected MyID 8 Enterprise SR1 to manage the deployment of their employee ID card.
